COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 7, 2025) – Four beach athletes are set to compete this week at the 2025 NORCECA U18 World Championship Qualifier, July 7-10, in Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic.
The teams will look to earn berthes for the U.S. at the 2025 FIVB U18 Beach World Championships, scheduled for Oct. 7-11 in Doha, Qatar.
On the women’s side, Ella Grimes and Jordyn Scribner will represent the United States in the main draw. The U.S. men’s team features Colten Mortensen and Matix Williams.
Three-time Olympic coach Gustavo Rocha, current associate head coach at USC, will lead both U.S. teams. Rocha has helped guide the Trojans to winning four consecutive NCAA beach volleyball championships (2021–24) and has been involved with USA Volleyball’s National Team Development Program program and international teams for nearly a decade. He most recently served as co-head coach for U.S. Beach National Team athletes Sara Hughes and Kelly Cheng at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The final roster for the 2025 U18 Beach World Championships will be announced in early August.
